Devlog 12/8/23 (Biomes 2)
Biome generation is working as intended.
I like the idea of having some of the dungeons have "interior" and "exterior" sections. Like you're traveling through an ancient monastery or something that's been overtaken by nature. Obviously these graphics are still placeholders tho lel
Here's a few screenshots of the biome generation, all using the same seed, but different dungeon sizes. This one is 10x10 rooms.
20x20 rooms:
100x100 rooms. This one chugged a bit while generating. I doubt any of the base dungeons will be even remotely this massive by default, but there will be an option to adjust the generation size in the options, for the masochists who just want to wander for several hours in the same place for whatever reason.
Here it is with a more irregular size (16x42)
same seed but with 2 biomes instead of 3 (10x10 rooms). kinda looks like a river lol

honestly seeing the dungeons zoomed out like this just makes it look like a bunch of greeble lol
or like an ant farm or something, especially with the mobs moving around
